Mallory Park - Lap Records tumble.

5th June 2017

The NSSCC visited Mallory Park as part of the Classic & Modern Motorsport Festival. With a full 30 car entry the 1.35 mile circuit was always going to be busy. Race 1 saw a car spinning in the pack as they entered Gerards resulting in a red flag and a couple of cars sidelined. The restart saw lap records tumbling and, whilst the leaders Paul Woolfitt and Mike Cutt pulled away, there were close battles raging throughout. Similarly, in Race 2, there were multicar battles throughout. Unfortunately whilst trying to pass a 7 car tussle the leader, this time Jon Woolfit, came to grief bringing a premature end to the race.
